Pre-Trial Diversion Clients:

All Pre-Trail Diversion Clients will be given a packet from the Pre-Trial Diversion Office through the District Attorney's office.
Clients have responsibilities in the counseling relationship. These responsibilties include:

-
Following appointment-scheduling procedures.
- Making and investing effort in the counseling process.
- Working toward the established goals, including the completion of assignments.
- Terminating one counseling relationship before beginning another. If you are seeing another mental health
professional, permission must be granted from the first therapist for the second therapist to see
   the same client.
- Couples involved in therapy must make their own decision regarding decisions to marry, separate, reconcile,
and divorce. They must also make decisions concerning custody arrangements and visitation. We will help
you think through the possibilities and possible consequences of these decisions, but the code of ethics
does not allow us to advise you to make a specific decision.
Physical Health:

Physical health can be an important factor in the emotional well-being of an individual. It is recommended that
the client have a physical exam if he/she has not had one in the last year. As intake data is collected, the
client should list any medications they are currently taking. Please list any side effects you may be
experiencing also.   It is recommended that you have this information when you arrive for your first session.
